Industry unique ESP technology for accurate data capture For any analyzer at PCIe 3.0 speeds, the key is how to recover the signal accurately in different types of platforms and systems. Agilents PCIe 3.0 analyzer uses Agilents unique ESP (Equalization Snoop Probe) technology, with the ability to tune the equalization algorithm used according to the type of channel the analyzer is monitoring. This ensures that the data captured in the analyzer is exactly what is on the wire. Without this capability, at 8GT/s, there is a high likelihood of misrepresentation of the data on the bus, which can lead to wasted hours, if not days in the validation cycle. Flexible hardware architecture Agilents PCIe analyzer combines accurate probing technology with flexible hardware architecture. The analyzer hardware supports all three generations, PCIe 1.0 through PCIe 3.0, and supports x1 link width through x16. Agilents Protocol Analyzers use a modular chassis based architecture. For additional flexibility, a single x16 configuration can be split into 2 separate smaller link width test systems, providing maximum equipment utilization.

U4305A-021 Protocol Test Card 3.0 Software Licence
U4305A Option 021 Protocol Test Card is an Agilent third generation PCIe 3.0 link transaction compliance test tool. Designed to the requirements of the PCI-SIG®, the industry organization chartered to develop and manage the PCI Express standard, the PTC3 will provide the Independent Hardware Vendor (IHV) and Independent BIOS Vendor (IBV) with link transaction test results designed to maximize interoperability and conform to current PCIe 3.0 industry protocol specification. Although the test cases are designed to operate at x1 lane width U4305A, the PTC3 software can be licensed to operate on the x4, x8, & x16 lane width U4305A Exerciser hardware. Option 021 test suite includes both the PCIe 2.0 and PCIe 3.0 protocol test cases. As a means to provide a connection between the PTC3 and an adaptor card DUT, option 021 requires an N5316A Test Backplane. The Test Backplane also provides power and a clock source to the DUT. The PTC 3.0 supports PCI Express 2.5Gb/s, 5Gb/s and 8Gb/s speeds and its operating range is 0 °C to +55 °C.

U4324A PCIe 3.0 Flying Lead Solder Down Probe
The U4324A flying lead probe is an Agilent probing solution provided for the U4301A PCIe Gen3 Protocol Analyzer module. Each Flying Lead probe consists of five cables on one end and a pod on the other end. Four of the five wires are used to capture a PCI Express differential signal. The fifth wire is provided for connecting the probe to an optional external reference clock on the DUT. The pod plugs into a U4301A PCIe3 Protocol Analyzer port. The four signal cables plug into a replaceable N5426A ZIF (Zero Insertion Force) tip which in turn gets soldered to a channel on the DUT. The reference clock cable requires a 3-pin header attached to the DUT reference clock output source. The 3-pin header is the same as that used for the optional external reference clock connection on the U4322A Mid Bus 3.0 probe. The U4301A PCIe3 Protocol Analyzer can accept up to 4 Flying Lead probes which can provide support for up to 16 channels unidirectional or 8 channels bidirectional (4 Flying Lead probes). A single Flying Lead probe can be mapped with the U4301A Protocol Analyzer to probe: x1 or x2 either unidirectional or bidirectional, or x4 unidirectional. Two (2) Flying Leads are required to support x4 bidirectional or x8 unidirectional. The Flying Lead probe supports PCI Express 2.5 Gb/s, 5.0 Gb/s and 8.0 Gb/s. Its operating range is 0 °C to +55 °C. Each Flying Lead probe has a unique serial number for easy tracking.
